It’s been an incredibly busy week and like last week, I am having trouble finding time to work on the gave dev and writing. I am noticing a trend that I am able to make progress on the things I am doing with other people, but being stagnant on the things I am trying to accomplish on my own. The should change this coming week though as I should have a pretty good amount of time Saturday – Tuesday to work on something.
Game Development:
The work I need to do next is around building my first track and getting the actual race mechanics down. Hopefully I’ll be able to spend some time on it this weekend.

Brian and I recorded a new episode on Saturday, using different software that seemed to work a heck of a lot better. He should be getting the edited version to me this weekend so I can get it ready to publish Thursday. We need to record a few more episodes to get some “in the can” again, but seems like we are back on track

We had another great practice on Sunday. 2 of my kids came along and they jammed along with us to a few songs, including picking a few up just for fun. I’m not sure if I sure add those songs here because they weren’t really for the band, just for fun with the boys.

Weight loss / fitness:
I reset on Madcow last weekend, testing where I was with the various lifts. Most were just below my PRs which is good, but I was able to set a new PR with deadlifts. I am beginning the program again today and should be back to PRs in about a month.
I also walked 1.2km three different days and started a little yoga last weekend — which is WAY harder than it looks! — doing it both Sat and Sun using this program:
I feel like the exercise was good even though my steps were down for the week, but I DID eat like crap a couple of days, especially Halloween when I ate about 4600 calories including some weird gin and butterscotch schnapps mixed drink I came up with. Mathematically I still should have lost more weight than I did.
3449-2512=937 cal deficit per day x 7 days = 6559
6559/3500 cals per pound = 1.87 lbs (but the scale only went down 0.2)
I think that this can be attributed to my eating this week being unusually causing more “waste” in my system that needs to be expelled and water retention for the sore muscles from restarting weight lifting. I would expect next week should be a larger drop than the math says as long as I keep the eating a little more under control.
