Weekly Update – Happy Halloween!

I guess the headline this week is that I made progress in some areas but I got distracted. I’d give myself A’s in Health/Fitness and Music, a B for the Podcast, and F’s on Writing and Game Dev.

Writing:

Did I mention I got distracted? I didn’t have time this past weekend due to driving all day Sat and then music and family stuff on Sunday. Work’s been nuts after having a week off as well. The free time I had after work this week has been devoted to other areas (coming up)

Podcast (F’ing Up the Ineffable):

The good news: We released a new episode on Thursday about Game Development. Brian does most of the editing but I spend a good bit of time Tuesday and Wednesday night listening to the episode, writing the descriptions, setting up affiliate links, creating Shorts for YouTube and uploading the episode to PodBean and YouTube.

The bad news: Turns out the technical difficulties that impacted our last recording actually corrupted a couple of other episodes that were “in the can”. The one on Game Design was our last recorded/unreleased episode so we will eventually have to rerecord those 2 1/2 eps. And now we have to record again before we can release the next one.

Music (Mistakes Were Made):

We had a really good practice on Sunday and added 2 new songs to our repertoire. Also I ran across some old raw practice recordings (the distraction!) from 2014 that I went down a rabbit hole listening to and remixing. Need to revisit that because there were some songs there I didn’t have recording of otherwise. Currently we are playing:

Weight loss / fitness:

I am tacking weightlifting again later this morning so no update there, but I have really been focused on getting more exercise and started logging what I eat on MFP again. I went walking after work Tues, Wed and Thursday as well. I also decided to take my measurements and my body fat % and track those on a month basis so this will be my baseline today and I’ll do it the last Friday of each month.

  • Current Weight 282.6 lbs (-3.2 lbs from last update/-7.6 lbs from start)
